Omnitribe & Soulective Present Earthday at Agave Farms 4/22/17

About EarthDay

The first ever Earth Day took place on April 20, 1970, after Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson became concerned with an oil spill in Santa Barbara. With the help of 85 staff members, 20 million people throughout the country gathered in public spaces and universities to protest and discuss ways to protect the environment and defend the planet.
Present day, environmental awareness is blooming and people are getting more involved. Inspired by the No DAPL movement and the peaceful protest of the pipeline by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota, thousands and thousands of people from all over have gathered and taken a stand, protesting and discussing ways to protect sacred land and this beautiful planet. See the similarities?
Imagine 20 million people decided to mindfully make small actions toward helping make this Earth a better place and then just kept doing it. It could be as simple as everyone picking up a piece of trash in their hometown once every single day or planting a tree somewhere new once a week.
Earth Day is not just one day out of the year, but every day! Together we can clean up this planet and move towards a more sustainable and peaceful way of living.
“It takes a lot of people doing little things to make a big difference.”
The possibilities are endless.

“My art is that of holding sacred space. The degree to which I can hold space musically or in silence, on a stage or with a client on the massage table, determines if magic will happen. Whether we are dealing with the space between notes or the space between breaths, the healing power of my work happens when I get out of the way and allow Spirit to move through me.”
– Poranguí
As a live musician, world soul artist and one-man orchestra Poranguí weaves ancestral songs and indigenous rhythms from around the globe. Creating his performances from scratch using looping technology, Poranguí’s live grooves range from meditative to dance party, moving the body, lifting the spirit, and transcending the divide between performer and audience. An evening with Poranguí might take you on a journey from deep, earthy didgeridoo grooves to high-vibe ecstatic Brazilian beats to blissful African kalimba lullabies. Serenades and storytelling to beat boxing and booty shaking: Together, these make an unforgettable experience.
As a DJ, Poranguí performs funky tribal world house sets that integrate live instrumentation, a hybrid of his organic indigenous sound with a potent electronic bed that moves large dance floors. And in sound design and media production roles – including film soundtrack contributions – Poranguí’s work is informed by experience with photography and filmmaking.
For Poranguí, this rich practice of music, healing, teaching, performance, and creative collaboration represents the intersection of journeys both personal and professional.

About Omnitribe and PHX Tribal Nights

“Telling the PHX Tribal Nights story is no simple task. The extent of reach into the community and dedicated involvement of all contributors has been deep.

Members of the community have donated time, talent, money and resources to ensure a safe and sober healing and celebration space is available in Phoenix on a recurring basis.

The organizers and producers of the PHX Tribal Nights event have assembled into a core group and formed a leadership council to direct our mission into manifestation, to: Create intentional, safe and sacred spaces for sustainable and transformational community experiences.

This intention based focus has generated an umbrella organization for all future PHXTribal Nights events and community involvement, titled OMNITRIBE. It is under this new cause based organization that all future decisions will be made.

This objective was achieved organically and without controls or constraints originally. The cause and affect on other people’s lives has been significant. The Veterans of Arizona have been especially grateful and have called us to ever grater purpose.

The native community in Arizona has engaged in dialogue as well and many new partnerships have been formed with many more on the immediate and long-term horizon.

While PHX Tribal Nights has been the catalyst to these causes stepping forward, it is the OMNITRIBE intuition that the nature of this interest is due to a demand for a more unified, conscious culture in Arizona and the world at large.

Additionally, the council has begun a 5 year plan for a permaculture village and is beginning conceptual ideation and acreage visits for future festivals and growth opportunities.

The Phoenix Arizona OMNITRIBE 2017 council is:

Andrew Young
David Avatara
Nathaniel Jack Greene
Justin Winters
Aaron Hill
Daniel Hirz

Members are voted into the council and terms are being defined for a future collaborator nomination process.

In the meantime, we are operating weekly under this new model and are here to share the abundance provided to our community and ask for your support. We are currently seeking lead collaborators for various different roles that are required for each event and business operations as applicable. Lead Collaborators are our first sponsors and promotional opportunities are available.

Please attend PHX Tribal Nights Collaborators meetings for details on how you can be a part of this exciting new community in development.”

L-PHX Tribal Nights: Gathering to Celebrate-

Our mission is to create an experience that fosters a feeling of acceptance and encourages people to step outside their comfort zones. In this environment one can learn, grow, and connect deeply with themselves and others.

Decompression Tank (Firehouse)
This will be a space to relax and be replenished with various classes, herbs, elixirs and sounds. Here we will have sound healing and many other healing modalities. We envision floor couches, bodywork tables provided by SWIHA students to fulfill their internship hours, a teahouse in the corner, and an oxygen bar.

Movement Playground (Downtown on Central)
This space will be used to ground and release daily stress through moving meditation and inward expression. Music selection in this room will mainly be provided by DJs. Different Movement classes will be facilitated to allow full integration into the experience.

Drum Circles
Will happen sporadically throughout the night on the outside / inside patio off central.

Only artists who create handmade goods and are based locally will be chosen to offer: Jewelry, Crystals, Essential Oils, Herbs. Art, Sculptures, Clothing, Flow Toys, and Face Painting. These vendors will be set up in the raised VIP area and directly behind the adjacent wall in the street facing room/patio.

Items to keep stocked in the cafe during this event include different kinds of Kombucha, Cocoa, Kava, Tea, Natural Drinks (Lemonade, etc) and Smoothies. Also anything else considered to be Vegetarian, Vegan or Raw Gourmet. We are currently reaching out to other food vendors who can offer packaged food / drink options through the Cafe.

Intoxication would be counterintuitive to authentic experience we want to create. Depending how this goes we may eventually for larger events, keep one room to wristbands and allow the sale of alcohol to draw in a wider audience needing transformation.

Throughout / Outside venue:
There will also be various art installations, For example, live and interactive / co-created art, Flow arts (Poi, Contact Staff, Hoop, Fans, Silks, Slackline, Acrobatics, Stilt Walking), Flow Art workshops, Poetry or Open Mic, Tarot / Oracle / Palm readings, 3D video mapping / Projections

Local DJ’s
We plan on starting organically with local DJ’s and eventually save up to invest in a Headliner. This is subject to change based on sponsorship funding.

Dance Performers
Just like the DJ’s we plan on starting organically. There are many dancers in the community that would perform for free, but our goal is to be successful enough to pay everyone their fair share.
